Wartook Gardens was one of the original gardens listed when the Open Garden Scheme was set up in 1987. The garden was in the Open Garden Scheme for 10 years. Wartook Gardens will again be open in the Spring of 2007 as part of the Open Garden Scheme's 20th Anniversary.
Wartook Gardens is open to the public during the year – with the best time being September through to May. Cost: $5 per adult.

At Wartook Gardens Royce or Jeanne will take you on a guided tour of the 5 acre home garden, with its extensive collection of Australian and exotic plants. Take in the colour and listen to the sounds of 115 bird species already identified.
Although there are a number of plants in flower at any time of the year, the best time for lots of colour is in the spring and early summer – September to December.
